Relocation Support

The Current Event nonprofit is currently seeking urgent support for June’s emergency assistance initiative. We are working to help a disabled member of the LGBTQ+ community who is recovering from domestic abuse secure safe, stable housing.

This individual has faced immense challenges over the past year and a half, including health setbacks and housing instability. We now have the opportunity to help them move into an apartment that will provide the safety and stability they need to begin rebuilding their life.

To make this happen, we are aiming to raise $1000 by June 16 to cover move-in costs. We’re asking our community to come together—every single contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact.

Donations can be made through The Current Event’s platform and are tax deductible. Please select “Emergency Situation Support” from the dropdown menu. All donations made through this link will go directly to this individual on June 15.
